Here in Seattle, we have found several talented cheeseboard makers that have successful businesses. Today we are featuring Grate Boards. Grate Boards not only has amazing boards that can be delivered to you, but they also have Art of Cheese classes so you can learn how to create your own. How fun is that? Check them out and support a local small business. They will not disappoint.

Grate Boards
Dimitria Hare-Michael is a Seattle-born native that loves entertaining and cheese. We love this combination too! Add some wine and we have a party! Dimitria created a business out of her passion called Grate Boards. She has so many amazing boards, we couldn’t pick our favorite. This harvest-themed board is so great for October and November birthdays or Friendsgiving. Do you love the added touch of the cheese letters?
The letters got us thinking about some other ways you could use a board with cheese numbers or maybe letters:
- Anniversary party or gift – use cheese numbers for the year.
- Employee birthday gift – send them a cheeseboard for that milestone birthday. You will crowned boss of the year for sure.
- Bridal shower with wedding date or maybe change numbers to initials. Also great for the morning before a wedding in the bridal suite.
- Backyard weddings – the numbers could be the table numbers showing guests to their seats.
- Friendsgiving fun. Have you been hosting Friendsgiving for a number of years? Highlight your board with the anniversary year of your party.

ART OF CHEESE CHARCUTERIE BOARD CLASSES
Want to learn how to make a cheese board yourself? @grateboards has instructional cheeseboard classes that will help walk you through the steps to create your very own cheeseboard. They’ll talk about food pairings, and where to get your supplies locally. Then they will help you style your own cheese board like a pro! Such a fun night with friends.
Grate Boards has private or public classes. Since we love wine with our cheeseboards we thought these upcoming in-person events that are happening at local Woodinville Wineries would be fun. *Note that these are selling out fast. Visit the links to get the most up-to-date status.
