Fall Photography Tips
Seattle area photographers love fall weddings in Washington. We are so lucky to have gorgeous autumn tree colors mixed with luscious evergreens compared to many other states. Then as a bonus, we get more of nature’s landscape with backdrops of forests, lakes, beaches, rivers, and mountains. The romantic photos are endless.
When planning your fall wedding, think about photo opportunities that include pops of fall color. Luxe & Blue just visited a venue several months ago that was beautiful indoors but had limited options for outdoor picture creativity. If you dream of those fall trees and natural landscapes, look at venues that have it or that have it close by. Luckily you have selected or will select a photographer whose job it is to find these artistic areas at your venue and create for you. They may have already shot at that location before and know where the best places are and where the light hits just right. Ask them. But it doesn’t hurt to scope out the scene on your own and come up with your shot list preference.
First looks can happen more in nature at a location near your venue and then formal shots at the venue. For example, one of our Luxe & Blue brides wanted water pictures in addition to fall garden pictures. The bride and groom chose to have their first look by Lake Washington before heading to their venue with the fall garden setting.
Sarah Anne Photography, a seasoned pro in the PNW, took some stunning photos below highlighting the different fall tones in floral bouquets, backdrops, and venues. Who is ready for treehouse pictures? Sarah’s Instagram says she only has a few spots left for 2022. What are you waiting for?
